DBOINCP-435 introduced regression where changing email deletes a user's BOINC username.

Oliver Behnke In the meantime, could you quickly run a DB query in the BOINC database, and find all users with 'blank' usernames. Something like

SELECT u.id,u.name,u.email_addr,du.uid,du.name,du.mail FROM EinsteinAtHome.user as u INNER JOIN drupal.boincuser as bu ON u.id=bu.boinc_id INNER JOIN drupal.users as du ON bu.uid=du.uid WHERE u.name='';

I should try and see if I can contact these people and have them change their usernames due to this bug.

Update: I changed the SQL statement to one more sophisticated.

Thanks Oliver for the table. I'm going to start contacting people, via PM, about this. I will have to post something in Technical News and inform our moderators to be on the look out for this too. After this bug is fixed and deployed, I may have you produce a new table, as above, so we can contact people who did have not changed their username.

Oliver Behnke, Can you send me the database table of users with blank names one more time, I will go through and start renaming people's display name as 'User' soon. And I will make an announcement about it too.
